Most read urbanism articles at IJURR 2011

We are preparing a special issue on "Politicizing African Urban Ecologies and Environments" with international contributors. IJURR - the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research is a great forum for discussions through their 'symposium' on how to understand 'the city', and the cultural, political and ecological effects of urbanization. IJURR's strengths lies in including various regions across the world. They write "Embracing a multidisciplinary approach to the field, IJURR is essential reading for social scientists with a concern for the complex, changing roles and futures of cities and regions."

Check out the most read 2011 articles in IJURR - good read. And further below another relevant symposium from 2009 on Justice, Nature and the City with one of my favorite Swyngedouw-articles.
